Originally, Metasfresh was a desktop Java-based ERP application built in the 2000’s that enjoyed a great deal of success among companies looking to boost the efficiency of workflow management and automate their day-to-day operations.
The key advantages of the product were its open-source nature, applicability to different business domains and ease of customization to the most unusual requirements – sometimes even without having to write a line of code.
With time it became self-evident that Metasfresh needed a complete overhaul, both in terms of an all-new architecture and in terms of a modern, dynamic UI meeting the expectation of today’s users.

The biggest challenges for Jazzy.pro were rooted deeply in the outdated architecture of the Metasfresh ERP solution, which translated into the following:
Our task was to rewrite the entire system, making it a universally accessible cloud ERP system with a modern UI and a lot more flexibility for users.
The work on the project started with a thorough analysis of the existing interface, a functional specification and wireframes, which resulted in the elaboration of actionable recommendations for improving the UX aspect of the solution.
Based on the results of the requirements elaboration stage, Jazzy produced over 50 meticulously detailed screen designs to demonstrate the scope of interactions to be supported by the new system and prepared a full-fledged GUI kit for developers.
From the technology standpoint, the new product was the complete opposite of its predecessor: lightweight, stateless, responsive, cross-browser, based on React/Redux and supporting the lightning-fast generation of any possible forms.
The solution is now cloud-based and offers an uncluttered, intuitive UI and a multitude of exciting features like field autocomplete, smart fields, interactive dashboards, automatic data saving, advanced caching, field highlighting and a lot more.
As the result of this highly successful project, the customer received a modern end-to-end ERP solution that now processes a little short of 200 million transactions per month.
