Deliverables: GIFs, mobile apps, web apps
Founded over 80 years ago, Universal Music Group is one of the largest music corporations in the world. Jazzy has had the honor of working with this industry giant on several occasions, including the creation of engaging visuals, videos and interactive online games.
Projects were made together with Platform Creative Agency that coordinated these projects for the client.
Universal Music wanted to create a package of promotional materials for some or their signed artists, including 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, American Authors, NE-YO and Tiësto.
The task was to create several animated GIF images to be posted on social networks, produce two mobile videos and develop two interactive online games aimed for the promotion of artists’ new albums and singles.
As always, the entire crew of Jazzy.pro had a number of brainstorming sessions and discussions with the customer, which eventually resulted in the creation of the following artefacts:
A series of animated GIF images of the band’s “Don’t Stop” music video. Jazzy used a number of source videos to extract the best fragments, then complement them with white lines for a more visible 3D effect.
The resulting GIF’s were posted to the band’s Tumblr to promote the new music video.
A GIF image similar to the ones created for 5 Seconds of Summer, this time for the American pop-star Ariana Grande’s new music video called “Break Free”. The animated sequence also incorporated white lines for a visible 3D effect and was posted to the singer’s official Facebook account.

This mini-project had the purpose of creating a promotional mobile application for the band’s new song and eponymous album.
The app allows the user to scan the cover of the album’s CD and then watch it being ripped apart on the screen of their mobile phone to reveal the official music video playing on the background. The result was visually appealing and truly captivating.
NE-YO of NE-YO’s new album “Money Can’t Buy”, this project was similar to the previous one in that it allowed users to scan the cover of the CD and then watch an animation of women from the cover dancing on their screen.
The most challenging in this series of small projects, the Tiësto project was based on an innovative idea suggested by Universal Music Group. The game used Google Street Maps as the environment and players had to roam the streets of a city to find two giant CD covers integrated into the map.
To simplify players’ navigation, Jazzy added a search by sound feature (music gets louder as the player approaches a hidden CD cover) and designed a nice-looking radar displayed on top of the map.

Similar to the Tiësto project, this map-based game guides the player through the magnificent canals of Venice in the search for violins - the musical instrument used by André Rieu, a world-renowned violinist.
APlayers who successfully complete the game are entered into an automatic prize drawing for a chance to win music CD’s and gadgets from André himself and the Johann Strauss Orchestra.
Cooperation with Universal proved to be educating, entertaining and put the team’s ability to come up with non-conventional ideas to a test – a test that Jazzy brilliantly passed.
The visuals and promo apps developed by our team have been seen by thousands of people across the entire world. Jazzy, in turn, successfully finished a project for a great customer.
